The Governor’s Gallery is tucked away on the fourth floor of the New Mexico State Capitol (locally known as the Roundhouse) in Santa Fe. Founded in April 1975 by First Lady Clara Apodaca, who opened the inaugural exhibition featuring works by Georgia O’Keeffe herself, the gallery was created as a dedicated space to showcase New Mexico’s artistic legacy
